Founded in 1954 by a group of visionary dentists, the Dental Study Group of Western Australia remains dedicated to fostering quality continuing education across the profession. Each year, we host a series of meetings featuring member-led lectures, a weekend convention, a partner’s evening celebrating shared interests, and an invitational lecture open to the broader dental community.


Our members present the majority of sessions, showcasing the Group’s diverse expertise and commitment to active participation. The year culminates in our formal Annual General Meeting — a black-tie event celebrating achievement, camaraderie, and support for the future of dentistry through awards and charitable donations.

The Dental Study Group of Western Australia has quietly been in the background supporting the development of modern Dentistry in WA, and its members have been unwaveringly dedicated to their profession, giving of their time willingly to share their knowledge and forge a stronger path for those who follow. We hope that this tradition continues for many years to come.
